Soultown Festival Marks 10 Years with Epic O2 Concert
A Milestone Celebration Comes to The O2
After a decade of bringing soul music fans together across the UK, Soultown Festival is marking its 10th anniversary with an unforgettable night at The O2 arena on Saturday, 10 April 2027. This isn’t just another weekend event—it’s a carefully curated concert that represents the culmination of ten years of celebration, community, and the music that’s defined generations.
The O2, nestled on the Greenwich Peninsula and easily one of London’s premier where to go in London destinations, provides the perfect stage for this milestone moment. The venue’s world-class acoustics and capacity make it an ideal home for bringing together thousands of soul enthusiasts from across the capital and beyond. Doors open at 6:30 PM, giving fans time to settle in before the evening unfolds.
Organisers have deliberately chosen this specific venue to honour what Soultown has become—a beloved institution in the UK’s soul music landscape. The decision to host at The O2 signals the festival’s growth and its importance to London’s vibrant music scene. For regular attendees and newcomers alike, this represents a chance to experience soul music history in one of London’s most iconic spaces, comparable in cultural significance to how the nearby London Big Ben stands as a symbol of London’s heritage.
An Incredible Lineup of Soul Legends
The artistic lineup for this anniversary concert reads like a who’s who of soul music royalty. Headlining the evening is Kool and the Gang, an act renowned for delivering electrifying live performances that have captivated audiences worldwide. Joining them are Earth Wind and Fire by Al McKay, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge, Shalamar, Kenny Thomas, The Real Thing, Boney M, Odyssey, Heatwave, and The Drifters.
Each artist brings their own distinctive sound and era-defining hits to the stage. From the infectious energy of “Celebration” and “We Are Family” to the smooth, sophisticated soul of Shalamar’s classics, the evening promises a journey through the sounds that shaped contemporary music. These aren’t just performers—they’re storytellers whose careers span decades and whose influence extends far beyond the dancefloor.
For music lovers in London and the surrounding areas, this represents a rare opportunity to see multiple legendary acts in one evening. The curation reflects a deep understanding of what Soultown fans cherish: authenticity, timeless grooves, and the joy of live soul music performed by those who helped define the genre. The organisers have created a setlist and artist selection designed to appeal to both longtime devotees and those discovering this music for the first time.
