This year's London to Brighton classic car run will include a modern classics run. The event, which also includes the kit & sports car run, is held on Sunday, May 31. Stephen Smith from event organizers old classic motor events said, ‘as the classic car scene has expanded, so have the existing runs. With more owners of cars from the 1980s and 1990s wanting to join the fun, this seemed the natural progression. Our event is about celebrating vehicles on the road so it’s very much more the merrier. ‘.
Old classic motor events, the organizers of the popular London to Brighton classic car run and kit & sports car run, have added a modern classics run to its 2020 events held on Sunday 31st May. Life doesn’t get much better than driving through the beautiful Kent and Sussex countryside in your cherished classic car basking under the glorious June sunshine. 440 lucky participants got to experience just that on Sunday 2nd June 2019. The annual old car motor events London to Brighton classic and kit & sports car run, which has been running for over 30 years, started in Greenwich park early on Sunday morning. The first leg of the route took the group to Chiddingstone castle near Edenbridge, Kent, where it was time for a quick leg stretch and refreshment break – very welcomed in the 20+ degree heat! the convoy then continued through Sussex to the finish line in Brighton along the famous Madeira drive.

The 2020 classic car run will be starting from Greenwich park, our 2019 start venue for the very last time! a UNESCO world heritage site and location of the meridian line. The meridian line in Greenwich represents the prime meridian of the world, longitude zero (0° 0′ 0″). Every place on the earth is measured in terms of its angle east or west from this line. Participants will have time to explore this fantastic location before being waved off with the union flag.
