Experience the Viking Age: Ragnar & Kraka’s London Saga

“Vikings: The Immersive Experience” is a new, multi-sensory adventure set to open at London’s Dock X in Canada Water on March 12, 2026. Inspired by the popular Netflix series, this exhibition transports visitors into the dramatic world of King Ragnar Lodbrok and Queen Kraka (Aslaug), blending historical facts with compelling mythological narratives to offer deep insight into Viking existence. It highlights the personal stories of this formidable family, including Kraka’s pivotal evolution from a hidden daughter to a respected völva crucial to Ragnar’s success.

The experience immediately immerses guests in 739 AD, the year of the Lindisfarne raid, utilizing high-resolution video technology. Visitors can explore the “Forest of Time,” an immersive landscape detailing the daily life, rituals, and beliefs of the Norsemen, centered around the mythological “Tree Of Light” (Yggdrasil). Interactive elements are plentiful, featuring replica Viking items, touch screens illustrating conquests, a ‘talking head portrait’ for questions, and a knotting station to learn classic Viking knots, all accompanied by an audio-guided tour.

The journey culminates in the “Mist of Time,” a cinematic, fog-filled portal leading to a magnificent longship. Here, a 30-minute immersive show uses projections and a sweeping musical score to vividly recount the epic story of Kraka and Ragnar. Suitable for all ages, the experience also includes a “Junior VR adventure” for younger family members, focusing on Queen Kraka. Tickets start from £23 for adults and £19 for children, with pre-sale access highly recommended for securing tickets ahead of the general sale on February 3.
